The Kathleen and May due to leave Bideford area on July 6th to attend the
sailing ship festival at Brest and due to return to Bideford about 7/8th
August The schedule is as follows leave Brunswick Wharf 2nd July for Appledore Thursday 3rd am tide leave Appledore a.m. tide for trip into the bay and maybe round Lundy weather permitting to test her equipment. Returning to Appledore on the pm tide to Appledore best place to see her will be on Northam Burrows near the old recycling depot The ship will be under the command of Capt Douglas Lindsay and a volunteer crew. After the festival at Brest the vessel will load 670 cases of white and red wine for a Dublin importer and will be discharge at Dublin. Modifications have had to be made in the hold to accommodate these cases. After this the vessel will then visit other ports in Eire i.e. Youghal and Arklow and returning to the Torridge about the 7/8th August weather permitting.
