No shipping movements into Bideford since last issue , possibly due to high bunker cost. Next vessel is due to load about the middle of August In the June edition I reported a vessel coming to the shipyard about the 2nd July , but it did not materialise
Congratulations to Dan Garnett,the fisherman from Clovelly, who was a crew member on one of the yachts which completed the leg of the' Round the World Race' from Nova Scotia to Cork in Eire to help raise money for the RNLI .

At Appledore 20.6.08 - no other movements seen.
Oldenburg has continued her sailings from Bideford and Ilfracombe.
Kathleen and May sailed from Brunswick Wharf on 6.7.08 , but was delayed at Appledore due to rope entangled in rudder. After the festival at Brest the vessel will load 670 cases of white and red wine for discharge at Dublin. Modifactions have been made in the hold to accommodate these cases. After this the vessel will visit other ports in Eire i.e. Youghal and Arklow and return to the Torridge about the 7/8th August , weather permitting.
