No Change
The ladies at the Library
Were very kind to me,
But when my book was
Overdue, they fined me 20p.
I lost two books in 40 years
Much to my dismay.
I did own up, with my best smile
And pleaded not to pay.
A pleasant voice, replied to me
That filled my heart with joy.
Your sweet talk is successful,
We accept your ploy.
But now upon the counter
Computers plugged in sockets
I made just one transgression
Which emptied all my pockets.
